english version
Here's the beta 3, it's the last one if you don't report bugs to me in the next few days :) .
A really stable version is not yet ready for Firefox 3, but I prefer that Boox be without problem ;).
15 languages available for this version, 11 fully :) (cs-CZ, de-DE, en-US, es-ES, fr-FR, it-IT, ko-KR, nl-NL, ro-RO, zh-CN, zh-TW), and 4 with some parts in English (da-DK, pl-PL, pt-BR, ru-RU). In preparation on babelzilla: he-IL, ja-JP, tr-TR.
Thanks to test again, and to report eventual bugs, it's the final step ;) .

The option to display the number of feeds in a tooltip does not stay checked, even though it works....
@Chris Wong
Thank you, corrected for the next version ;) .
It works! thanks from peru!!!!
It's taking a little time to get the feeds when firefox starts and to clean them with the "mark as read" in the bookmarks toolbar (it freezes for 2 or 3 seconds). In firefox2 with 1.0 this didn't happened.
Apart from that it's working good now, it doen't make firefox crash as the previous betas and alphas did when pressing "mark as read" in the bookmarks toolbar.
@nightbeholder
Thank you for the feedback.
Do you use the Native Firefox History or the Boox own History ?
If it's the latter, it's normal, and I plan to optimize it in a version 2.1. But if it's the former, it should not freeze the UI :s , I have already optimized it.
Bonne continuation.
@etimau
One thing the bothers me a little is the following where the popup on live bookmarks from the bookmark toolbar blocks the RSS feed:
http://img155.imageshack.us/img155/...
Having it appear somewhere where it's not blocking the feed or adding a setting to have it disappear after a specified amount of time would be a welcome addition.
@Alex
For the moment, currently, you have 2 solutions for this annoyance:
1- you can choose the option "but not over feeds" in the Boox options, it disable the tooltips only over feeds, not normal bookmarks and feed entries.
2- or you can simply just move a little your mouse over one of the feed entries, that's what I do myself ;) .

I was using the Boox History... Changed it to Normal Firefox History and it doesn't freeze anymore. tks
BTW, what's the difference between the two?
@nightbeholder
To style live bookmarks and their entries, Boox looks into the Firefox History to know if the urls were visited. But some users want to have a short expired day for their history, or empty it often. So they can use the Boox own History, independent, to style their feeds.
The more efficient is clearly to use the Normal History, and I have made some optimization with it (but I plan some optimizations for later with the Boox History).
For information, in the previous version 1.x, the performance of the normal History wasn't as good as in Firefox 3, and the default expired day was really shorter (15 days in Firefox 2, 90 days in Firefox 3). So a Boox History (sqlite) was relevant. In the version 2.x, it's useful only for those who want empty often their Firefox History.
Great extension!!!
But it does not show any tooltips for the bookmarks in the sidebar if the "2 Pane Bookmarks" extension is installed (https://addons.mozilla.org/ru/firef...). Can you make them work together? It'd be superb!
Thanx in advance.
PS. In the personal bookmarks bar the tooltips are displayed.
I've noticed that the tooltips do not show the correct location and information for links in the Most Visited folder of the Bookmark Toolbar.
Also, wondered if in addition to the Bookmark Sidebar if you could show tooltips for the Bookmarks drop-down menu as well.
Keep up the good work.
Thanks! :)
@SHANE
>Can you make them work together?
I have take a look, but it needs to rewrite the 2 extension in one, sorry ;) .

Thank you, corrected for the next release.

It's planned that for a version 3.1 ;) .

Sorry for being impertinent, but does it mean that there's no hope? Or is there at least a chance? :)
I still have FF3 crashes if using "Mark as read".
In fact, FF3 crashes only if the Live bookmark is not up to date. If I use "Reload Live bookmark" first to ensure it's up to date and then "Mark as read", FF3 does not crash.
Anyway, thanks for this extension I use a lot.
@Stéphane
Are you sure to use the last beta3 (Tools -> Add-ons -> Boox version 2.0b3) ? Because I have made a correction about this in this version :s .
Do you use the Normal Firefox History (default) or the Boox own History (in the Boox Options) ?
Bon courage
There seems to be a hang right after opening Firefox that's caused by boox. When I disable boox, it does not seem to happen, but I'm not 100% sure that it's caused by boox or something else about my Firefox config. I'm running Firefox 3, but upgraded from Firefox 2, so a couple of my extensions are automatically disabled until the owners upgrade them. I figured I'd just leave them disabled just so I get notified of upgrades. A couple others are manually disabled, as I wanna try the a couple of the new native features of Firefox 3 instead for a little. In any case, I can send you a screen shot of my installed extensions, and maybe even my feeds list for you to test with...
@cho_7
@Chris Wong
Feel free to send me whatever you think that's useful for me ;) .
Another thing you can do, if you want, is to create a new profile and test it. That's not so hard ;) . And really, personnaly, I think it's a good thing to start with a new fresh profile when Firefox have new major version. You can always reimported your data from the previous profile.
@joliclic
Sorry for the late answer but my answer is yes, I've got the latest version (2.0b3) of Boox.
This crash looks difficult to reproduce because you have to wait to have an update done on a server but not yet replicated on FF for the crash to happen.
Maybe by choosing a very active Live bookmark, updated a few times per hours, would help to reproduce the error.
@Stéphane
Thank you very much for your response. In fact, your report currently blocks the stable release of Boox.
Yes, it's looks very difficult to reproduce the crash, for the moment, I can't :( . The conditions seem more complicated, I have already tried with a local feed, and just modified it is not sufficient.
Could you please give me some urls of feeds that have crashed your Firefox in this situation?
Is it happen immediatly when you restart Firefox? Or do you know how long your Firefox was started?
When the crash happen, can you send a crash report? If yes, please copy and send me the informations given by the crash report, then send the report, then when Firefox is restarted, type
about:crashes
into your location bar to get a page listing crash reports that you have submitted, and send me the crash ID too. If you prefer, you can send me these informations by mail .If you have patience and courage, you can try to see if you can reproduce the bug with a new profile.
@zhemarcus
@joliclic
Hi Joliclick, as you've probably seen already, I've replied to your questions by sending you an e-mail.
Looking forward for your answers.
Thanks,

J'utilise l'historique propre à BooX !
@cho_7
ok, tu as raison, merci.
@Milarespa
The version i used with FF2 worked fine when i pulled down from my bookmarks to the bookmarks toolbar folder. Now with FF3 and the beta version it only works from the sidebar or the bookmarks toolbar folder open all the time. Please make it work like it did in FF2
Thank You
@cazador31
It's planned for the version 2.1.
